Amaroo Football Academy is unique opportunity for students of the Collie Primary Schools to combine their academic studies with specialised football training and skills development under the direction of AFL accredited Coaches.

The Academy will support 25 selected Year 7 students from both Government and Non-Government Schools in Collie. 

The Core aim of the program is to develop leadership skills and community participation through Australian Rules Football.

The Football Academy program focuses on the development of the whole person in conjunction with their football skills and ability.  We have developed a set of values and behaviours to which Football Academy students are expected to adhere and it is made clear they have a responsibility to live up to these at all times. It is a privilege to be a member of this group and along with this privilege goes some responsibility.  In conjunction with this we encourage students to take on some ownership of the program and include them in the decision making and implementation where ever possible.

All Academy students are expected to maintain and model positive behaviours in their home school environment and a constant theme is "getting the best out of yourself and your peers".
